Each figure plays a role in the endless theatre of the city, reminding us that even the most ordinary crossings can hold the quiet weight of ritual, repetition, and return.

In Ebisu, a taxi driver squints against a sudden burst of komorebi - sunlight filtered through trees and glass, a word usually reserved for poetry and reverence. But here, beauty turns uncomfortable, blinding him in the middle of his shift. The irony lingers: what is celebrated in stillness can become an obstacle in motion. The photograph catches that tension, reminding us that beauty depends on where we stand, and sometimes, it arrives as interruption rather than grace.
