About the piece

This is a photo of an amazing castle in Italy called Rocchetta Mattei. Built in the mid-19th century, it was home to Count Cesare Mattei, a self-taught physician who founded electro-homeopathy, a practice that stems from homeopathy. During World War II, German troops damaged the interior of the building. When the war was over, the last heir was unable to sell the building and offered it to the Municipality of Bologna for free. They did not accept the donation. In 1959 Primo Stefanelli bought Rocchetta Mattei.
